New Site Highlights the Community Development Organization’s Initiatives and Accomplishments.
The Berks Alliance, a Berks County-based community development organization established in 2015, has launched a new website. The new website, www.berksalliance.org, was developed at no cost to the Berks Alliance by Weidenhammer, and features the organization’s initiatives, goals, and accomplishments. In addition, the site includes some informative facts and a variety of historic photos of Berks County.
Berks Alliance is a collaboration of anchor institutions in Berks County. These organizations represent some of Berks County’s largest employers including Tower Health – Reading Hospital, all of the Colleges and Universities, and some of the large manufacturing companies.
“We are very excited about this new website. It’s attractive, easy to navigate, and is filled with some great information about Berks County. I think people will really enjoy some of the vintage photos of Berks County that are on the site. We encourage people to peruse the site and learn about the many initiatives the Berks Alliance is pursuing in our community,” states John P. Weidenhammer, President of the Berks Alliance.
Weidenhammer went on to say, “We are grateful for the wonderful work done by the marketing team who developed this high-quality website for the Berks Alliance for free.”

The mission of Berks Alliance is to provide a clean, safe and green environment while improving the health, wealth and education attainment of the County’s citizens. The organization is working to assure there is an adequate supply of living wage jobs and an available supply of people to fill them. The organization currently consists of 17 Berks County anchor institutions.
